An exploration of rocky pathways brought about the concept of this painting.  The altitude of the texture increasing with each step, each stroke, upon the canvas.

The reflection of nature's magnificent boulders spread through the cracks and crevices, gliding across the smoothness of the surface.  Aged by wind and rain, they've seen so much but stay silent.  Weathering away but never losing strength.

Minerals compacted into their form, glisten in the sunlight, an amalgamation of time and energy.  Cool blues and soothing whites show the calmness of these towering, resilient structures that are the elders of the mountain.
